College of Arts and Humanities Technology Office

IT Liaisons

Every official college unit must have an IT Liaison and a Content Manager. Department chairs and directors will oversee these representatives. The IT Liaison works in conjunction with the CAH Technology Office and will serve as the primary point of contact for all non-Web technology-related issues within the unit. The Content Manager works in conjunction with the Web, Programming and Communication group and will serve as the primary point of contact for all Web related issues. All Web site updates should be requested through the respective Content Manager.

Information Technologies & Resources

UCF's Division of Information Technologies & Resources maintains policies related to computing, telecommunications, library, multimedia, web, internet, and distributed learning. These policies are designed to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.

Domain Check

Please check out CAH's guide on How to Tell if You are on a Domain to see if you are still on the CAH domain. The CAH domain will be shut down on November 29, 2016. See Shared Services for more information.

Technology Fee Awards

The revenue from this fee is used to enhance instructional technology resources for students and faculty. UCF employees are invited to submit proposals for one-time projects.

Adobe Purchase Options

UCF Technology Product Center sells Adobe Acrobat Professional licenses on an individual basis. CAH units have the option to buy licenses of the latest Acrobat Professional for $12 a seat.

To purchase the licenses, you need to fill out a standard computer store requisition using the product code: ACROBAT14-15 for $12 a seat. Departments and individuals who buy into this option will be expected to renew their agreement on a yearly basis for every seat purchased.

You will only be given one license key per person, per installation. The CAHIT support team will retain the installation software. If a licensed individual leaves or no longer has need for the software package, it must be de-activated and removed from their computer in order to be reassigned.

You will have to set the delivery address for the purchase to CAHIT Support Team so that we can manage the account and installation. The delivery address is:

University of Central Florida
12790 Aquarius Agora Dr.
Bldg: 18 Room: 202
Orlando, FL, US - 32816-1990

Once you receive confirmation of your purchase, you can contact or call 407-823-2719 to schedule the installation for your faculty or staff member. Since we need a single point of contact to help keep track of the license count, please have your faculty or staff work with your unit's IT liaison in regards to acquiring this product.
